It seems like mental health is very complex and sometimes there isn't really a good way to definitively diagnose some conditions or conditions may be co-existant. One mental health professional may give one opinion while another may give another. It seems likely that misdiagnosis is common and might lead to a lack of proper resources and interventions. What is the best way to ensure proper diagnosis aside from the obvious steps of seeking professional assistance?
